Gear Up for Galveston!

On behalf of the Port of Galveston I am delighted to invite you to attend the 98th AAPA Annual Convention, October 25 to 29, 2009. We are planning a schedule of programs and social events that will address the important issues we all face, while at the same time giving you a true taste of Galveston Island and South Texas.

Our island possesses all the charm of a small southern town, but it is just 40 minutes south of the fourth largest city in the United States. It boasts 32 miles of relaxing beaches, superb restaurants, incredible art galleries, fabulous entertainment, and one of the largest and most well-preserved concentrations of Victorian architecture in the country.

Some of you may recall that Galveston has hosted the AAPA Convention in previous years – in 1919, 1935, and 1987. If you haven’t been to Galveston since Hurricane Ike, you may be surprised at the newly re-nourished beaches and the spotless tourist infrastructure, the new landscaping and the fresh coat of paint. Galveston Island is ready to welcome the AAPA Convention with open arms.

Please join us this October, for a Convention to remember.

Yo les invito a unirse con nosotros, en Galveston del 25 al 29 de octubre de este año.

Je vous invite à vous joindre à moi à Galveston du 25 au 29 octobre 2009.
