Registration, business meetings and sessions, breakfasts and lunches, and all other daytime events associated with the convention will take place, unless otherwise noted on the agenda, at the Galveston Island Convention Center, 5600 Seawall Boulevard, Galveston, Texas.


How to get to Galveston.

Nearest Airport

For travel to and from Galveston convention attendees may choose either Hobby Airport (HOU) or Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).

Air Service

Continental Airlines is offering AAPA attendees discounts of up to 10% off published fares, as well as special "Zone" fares.

Directions from Bush (IAH)

Exit George Bush Intercontinental Airport and follow the signs to US-59. Follow US-59 South for 14 miles. Bear right on ramp at sign reading "I-45 to Galveston / Dallas" and go South for 0.6 miles. Continue on I-45 and go South for 45 miles to Galveston Island.

Directions from Hobby (HOU)

Exit William P Hobby on Lockheed Ave and follow the signs to I-45 South, continue on ramp at sign reading "I-45 S" and go Southeast for 0.3 miles. Continue on I-45 and go South for 35 miles to Galveston Island.

Brion Air Shuttle from Hobby and Intercontinental

In a hurry? Traveling with a group? Don’t want to deal with the highways?

Brion Air offers an executive five-passenger air shuttle between Houston area airports and Galveston with included ground transportation for you and your baggage directly to the San Luis and Hilton. One-way pricing is a competitive $165 per person, if three to five people book and fly together, or $225 per person for one or two passengers. The travel time by air is 20 minutes.
